 Students read their personal novels.

We corrected a comma quiz from last week - these are not heavily weighted in terms of marks, but give students a good snapshot of where they are with comma use at the moment. 

Students moved into working groups and submitted answers to to the following questions:

• What are 3 instances of foreshadowing in the opening section of the story - why are they foreshadowing/explain
• Find a quotation which encapsulates the climax of the story - How do you know that this is the climax?
• Write a theme statement for the story - centred around what the story reveals about the relationship between humans and nature
