Lesson 58

 We finished the novel, and students handed in their final notes.

HMWRK: brainstorm 10+ reasons to buy food locally (written down in point form)

Tomorrow we begin prep for next week’s writing - outlines are to be completed over the course of the weekend, but ALL WRITING IS GOING TO BE DONE AT SCHOOL

Lesson 57

 We read "Lost and Found and Lost" and "Kiiwen" and will finish the novel tomorrow. Students must be up-to-date in their notes so they can hand them in tomorrow, and be prepared for the writing to come.

Lesson 55 & 56

 We have now read up to page 201.

Students should be on top of their character notes - collecting quotes to show character development, and illustrate the traits of the family members.

We will continue reading together tomorrow - our aim is to finish the book and notes in the next two days - in preparation for the writing to come.
